Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation systems including AS/RS systems, multi shuttles, conveyors (Flat and Hanger system), and control panels.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair issues involving Siemens, Beckhoff, and Omron PLCs and associated field devices.
• Review, modify and optimize PLC programs and HMI configurations to improve system performance and reliability.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, including maintenance logs, PLC code versions, change history, and fault reports.
• Analyze automation faults and respond to breakdowns swiftly to reduce Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).
• Monitor and report maintenance KPIs such as system availability, MTBF, performance, downtime etc.
• Assist with root cause analysis (RCA) and create detailed maintenance reports for recurring issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams and automation vendors and technical support to resolve complex system issues.
• Support software integration and continuous improvements with WCS and WMS platforms for seamless warehouse operations.
• Support projects and onsite commissioning, upgrades, and continuous improvement of warehouse automation.
• Use and maintain CMMS for logging maintenance tasks, scheduling preventive maintenance, and tracking spare parts usage.
• Comply with health, safety, and quality standards, including lockout/tagout procedures and risk assessments.

Documentation & Reporting Skills:

• Strong ability to document maintenance activities, fault diagnostics, and system changes.
• Experience in preparing daily shift reports, KPI dashboards, and root cause analysis reports.
• Attention to detail and organization in maintaining PLC logic archives, schematics, and maintenance records.

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced, automated logistics facility using Dematic technologies.
• Work involves walking, climbing, and working near moving equipment.
• Work involves also working under oxy-reduct conditions.
• Use of PPE and compliance with safety protocols is mandatory.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical/ Electronics, Automation, Control Systems Engineering or similar.
• Experience: 2 to 5 years in a PLC maintenance/ service or automation role (preferrable in an automated warehouse or logistics environment.)
• Proficient in Siemens (S7 Simatic Manager and TIA Portal), Beckhoff TwinCAT, and Omron PLCs.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Profibus/ Profinet, EtherCAT, Asi-bus, Ethernet/IP) and its
• Familiarity with WMS/WCS and integration to the automation controls.
• Strong knowledge of HMI/SCADA, VFDs, I/O systems, and safety devices.
• Competent in using SCADA (Siemens WinCC) /HMI tools and performing program backups and restorations.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and PLC ladder/ FBD/ ST programming language.

Experience with Warehouse automation such as AS/RS cranes, conveyors, shuttles, and WCS/ WMS software is an added advantage.
