General Summary

Controlling the all related Cranes services by approved and contracted suppliers within Emirates Steel & following up of all required documents to have job done in a safe manner with less delay with required coordination of cranes staff.


Controlling the purchased received spare necessary for mechanical cranes works with different parties "Crane staff, Procurement, warehouse & suppliers".

Following up the load test for cranes & lifting gear inspection and arranging necessary records.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership and guidance


Review of regular the stock of spares of ES Crane's consumption substitution, issue of new items purchase request, material coding and attending procurement meeting.

1. Mechanical Crane Supervisor


2.Optimize the Production management


Execute day to day activities to ensure cranes are in safe operation mode & does not stop for any spare parts or specific service by contactor.

Control trouble shooting


Ensure Cranes spares are in ready stage for replacement and provide information assistance for crane staff in order to avoid any breakdown to any crane.

Facilitate solution


Attending the all required meeting with Crane staff & procurement to enhance and different department regarding to Mechanical spares to find the proper & suitable once which will ensure crane longer time of operation without delay.

To provide technical support at each area for major shutdown.

Monitoring & Inspecting


Monitor that the cranes & lifting gear certification are done in proper way and matched with Emirates Steel policies and related international standards.

Provide the necessary inspection on all the necessary material, spares, stocks & equipment to Emirates Steel warehouse related to crane section.

Expertise Coalition


Work in day to day with all mechanical Cranes supervisor and provide the necessary spares & services supports.

Matching with all needs of procurement department rules & spare parts controller.

Overseeing Standards


Matching with all relevant international standard for crane & lifting equipment.

Policies and Procedures Implementation


Following the relevant safety, quality, health and environment management policies, procedure applicable for the quality of mechanical maintenance on the cranes to meet defined standard.

Experience on general mechanical spares and cranes components & different alternative solutions. .

Ability to keep spare parts records and prepare reports as required.

Records of all related certificate like crane load test, loose lifting gear & MPI.

Fluency in spoken and written English language.

Minimum Education Qualification (Education Degree)

Diploma in Degree or Engineering

Any preferred professional training

Technical knowledge of predictive & preventive maintenance. Understanding of engineering drawings Ability to keep maintenance records and prepare activity reports as required.

Professional Experience (Must haves)

2-3 Years in practical implementation of


Mechanical maintenance job as senior Technician in Steel Plant.


10-15 years' experience in mechanical maintenance in supervisory or equivalent category
