High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school certification is a plus.
Formal training or certification in food handling, hygiene, and safety is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a cook or chef, preferably in a cafe or casual dining environment.
Experience in preparing a variety of dishes, including breakfast items, sandwiches, pastries, and beverages.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices.
Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistent food quality.
Basic inventory management and knowledge of proper storage procedures.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Personal Attributes:
Team player with good communication skills.
Punctual, organized, and detail-oriented.
Creativity in food presentation is an advantage.
