JOB OBJECTIVE



This position takes charge of assisting the Head Cook & Assistant Head Cook in delivering highest quality of food. Ensuring that food serves to our customers are prepared accordance to company set standard and prepared in a hygienic manner. Helping the Management team to achieve highest FSC standard at all times. Ensuring effective Kitchen Management is observed during his particular shift.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



2.1 Performs the actual preparation and cooking of ingredients for all products, seeing to it that the foods are delivered in hygienic manner and accordance to standards. Responsibility includes preparing of meat, and vegetables, cooking of rice and etc.

2.2 Maintains the kitchen equipment and utensils, keeping them clean and free foul odors and other contaminants.

2.3 Maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of the entire kitchen. This includes cleaning of equipments, tools, utensils, floors, wall, ceiling, exhaust filters and etc.

2.4 Observes high sanitation and strict hygiene inside the kitchen.

2.5 Assist the Cooks in product preparations and ensuring availability of all back-ups at all times.

2.6 Adhere to follow standard uniform and grooming at all times.

2.7 Assisting the Head Cook / Assistant Head Cook and Store Managers during the receiving of stocks. This includes proper storing of materials following the standard guidelines.

2.8 Performs the proper quality control procedures during his shift including conduct of tastes test of all products and other sensory evaluation for particular ingredients.

2.9 Follows the proper and accurate recording of production; scraps, rejects, spoiled items and transferred in/out. Also help the Head Cook and managers during month-end inventory

2.10 Observes implementation of safety measures in the kitchen.

2.11 Frequently provides feedback on how to improve more in terms of kitchen operation.

JOB SPECIFICATION:



4.1 Educational Attainment

- Preferably college level / High School Graduate

4.2 Experience

- At least 2 years related experience

4.3 Human Relations

- Able to instruct and discuss technical matters clearly

- Able to interact with fellow staff exemplifying good behavior

4.4 Mental Effort

- Able to understand and follow established Cooking and kitchen procedures or other operational standards

- Able to identify problems and recommend the best solution

- Able to create and recommend methodologies relevant to the job

4.5 Physical Effort

- Able to perform actual cooking

- Able to withstand the hot condition inside the kitchen for longer hours

- Able to perform under pressure.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,300.00 per month
