Operate kitchen equipment safely (oven, grill, fryer, etc.).
Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating stock.
3. Food Safety & Hygiene
Follow HACCP and food safety guidelines.
Keep workstation clean and sanitized at all times.
Ensure proper temperature control for storage and cooking.
4. Quality Control
Check freshness of ingredients before use.
Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion size.
Report any food shortages or equipment issues to the supervisor.
5. Time Management
Prepare dishes on time, especially during rush hours.
Prioritize tasks to ensure smooth workflow.
6. Teamwork
Coordinate with chefs, kitchen assistants, and service staff.
Support in training new kitchen employees.
7. Menu Preparation
Assist in planning daily specials and new recipes.
Help in costing, portion control, and inventory.
8. Waste Control
Minimize food wastage through proper planning and storage.
Follow FIFO (First In - First Out) method.
9. Customer Service (if required)
Prepare food based on special requests or dietary needs.
Maintain polite and professional communication.
10. Health & Safety Compliance
Follow all safety rules for equipment and workplace.
Wear proper uniforms and PPE (gloves, apron, hairnet).
