to join our kitchen team in the UAE. The ideal candidate must be already based in the UAE and have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience preparing authentic dishes.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook authentic Sinhala meals, including curries, rice dishes, and snacks.
Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet restaurant standards.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times.
Manage inventory of ingredients and ensure timely reordering of stock.
Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations as per UAE standards.
Work with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
Adapt recipes and menu items to meet customer preferences when necessary.
Requirements:
Minimum
2 years of experience
as a cook, preferably in UAE
Must be currently
residing in the UAE
(applicants outside UAE will not be considered).
Proven knowledge of traditional SL ingredients, spices, and cooking techniques.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong work ethic and punctuality.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
Preferred:
Ability to speak Sinhala or Tamil is a plus.
Prior experience in a busy restaurant or catering environment.
