We are hiring a Control Engineer who will ensure smooth and efficient on-site operations by designing, implementing, and maintaining Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). This role will enhance efficiency and reliability in manufacturing and infrastructure systems, enabling the remote operation of project sites from the Aggreko Remote Control Center in Jebel Ali, Dubai, UAE.

Role Overview:
A Control Engineer focuses on integrating and optimizing Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) in Aggreko power plants. This entails implementing and maintaining these systems to ensure efficient and reliable operation of critical processes in our power generation plants. By facilitating seamless communication and control, the specialist plays a key role in enhancing the overall performance and stability of power plant operations, contributing to the delivery of consistent and reliable energy outputs using remote-control center capabilities.
What youll do:
Installation and programming of Scada controls per documentation and drawings
Developing HMI controls according to documentation and drawings to enable remote operation of the site from the Remote-Control Center (RCC) in Dubai
Conducting data analysis to evaluate KPIs and developing production dashboards to monitor and analyze the performance of various project sites
Installation and programming of PLC and HMI controls as per documentation and drawings
Commissioning Documentation for Scada and PLC control system including updated the records on SharePoint.
Training of onsite personnel for both Scada and PLC control systems
Displays a commitment to Operational Excellence initiatives

Youll have the following skills and experience:
Specialized Diploma in Controls
Higher National Diploma/ Completed Apprenticeship
Minimum 3 years experience of site environment
Must be able to work under own initiative with good organization skills
In Depth knowledge of working with the Rockwell Factory Talk platform
Knowledge of establishing remote connectivity and cloud networks is desirable.
Fluent in English, excellent oral and written communication
Must have Working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers ideally Omron and Allen Bradley
Experience with Scada applications including fault finding and operation
Experience with PLC and HMI controls including fault finding and operation
Advantage to have Dief controller experience
Advantage to have Power Generation industry & high voltage network experience
