About the Role

We are looking for skilled and proactive

Control Room Operators

to join our Roads O&M team. The role involves monitoring traffic patterns, identifying issues that may lead to congestion, and applying tactical interventions through Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). The objective is to keep traffic flowing smoothly, enhance safety, and provide real-time information to road users.

This position requires working in a 24/7/365 shift pattern and handling critical systems with professionalism and responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor road traffic and identify conditions leading to congestion. Use ITS systems to manage traffic flow, road safety, and incident response. Operate road management ITS and safety-critical systems. Manage and operate traffic signals, CCTV systems, and dynamic message signs. Oversee road closures, traffic diversions, and major event operations. Provide real-time traffic information and liaise with internal/external stakeholders. Monitor weather conditions and manage severe weather responses. Support tunnel operation and road incident management systems. Ensure data, systems, and facility security at all times. Provide operational feedback to improve ITS and system development. Adhere to company policies, health and safety procedures, and shift requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering (relevant discipline). Minimum 3-4 years' experience in a roads control room operating ITS systems. Strong knowledge of incident management and safety-critical systems. Proven experience working in shifts (24/7). Excellent communication skills in English (verbal & written). Strong technical knowledge in enterprise systems and multi-software platforms. Current valid Qatar Driving License.

Desirable:

Accreditation from the Institute of Asset Management (IAM) or equivalent. Experience in tunnel management or road incident management systems. Proficiency in transportation-specific Video Management Systems. Arabic language skills (verbal & written).
