Job Title: Control Room Engineer Location: Sharjah Experience: Min 10 Years Language: English Education: Bachelor's degree General Summary Ensure the safe and reliable operations of the plant to achieve plant goals taking into consideration, OEM recommendations, best practices in the industry. Instructs and coordinates the plant operations with the Field Operators and Shift Chemist, to operate the generating plant and auxiliary equipment. Direct with the Field Operators and Shift Chemist to ensure the operation of all equipment in a manner which will achieve the optimum Plant availability, reliability and efficiency without compromising personnel and equipment safety. Operate DCS controls and other systems that are required to control all applicable plant systems during normal plant operations, startup, shut down and emergency operations. Assist the Shift Engineer in the preparation of Permits to Work as required. Shall support in the pre-commissioning, commissioning and operations phase and in coordination with other parties involved in coordination with the Shift Charge Engineer. promptly report to the Shift Charge Engineer whenever affect in scheduled generation on account of plant problem within or any external reason deviation arising in implementing the set standards and procedures for smooth, safe &efficient plant operations. Strictly follow Operations Procedures, check sheets as laid down and adherence to policies and procedures Ensure proper feedback to Shift Charge Engineer as part of periodical updating of the Operations procedures to reflect the latest requirements specified by OEM, industry best practices and Project agreements. Provides on the job training for Field operators. Coordinates and cooperates with maintenance and engineering personnel for the overall benefit of the generating plant.
