Delivering an integrated, commissioned and working terminal to the operations team is an important value driver within APM Terminals. Failure to deliver the asset(s) within scope, on time and budget hurts APM Terminals long term. Equally, being able to improve on the original plans for a project secures incremental value for APMT Terminals.
Under the direction of the Contracts Manager, the objective of this position is to ensure that all the project’s contractual and commercial interests are maintained.
The person in this role will be responsible for the support and administration all contractual elements of the project, the maintaining clear and concise documentation, and ensuring clear and concise communication flow between all parties as required.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Contract management
To review, assess and analyze all concession, consultancy, construction and, equipment and project IT supplier agreements, and provide any assistance required during both procurement and execution phases
To support the Technical Lead in managing all contractual and commercial strategies while maintaining control of scope, time and budget.
To support the identification and monitoring of all contractual and commercial risks and opportunities within the project
To administer and communicate any contractual issues and requirements including contractual correspondence, changes, variations, claims and disputes.
To support the Project Controls Lead/others, in maintaining relevant contract and commercial administration systems and procedures, such as:
Change, variation, claim, dispute registers
Correspondence registration
Cashflow
Payment certification
Forecasting
Team, Stakeholders & Communication
To liaise with all relevant disciplines within APMT on contractual and commercial matters, including procurement, legal, finance, treasury, insurance and others.
REPORTING AND SCOPE:
The position reports directly to the Technical Lead

Key Qualifications, skills, and personal experience:
Qualification
University degree in Quantity Surveying / Engineering, Law with relevant professional qualification, or similar
Technical & Project Experiences
Minimum 3-5 years experience in a construction / project related environment
Relevant project experience and exposure to project controls (cost and value reporting systems)
Knowledge and working experience with international standard construction contracts, such as the FIDIC (or NEC) forms of contract (red, yellow, white, green, blue book)
Prior exposure to claims / dispute resolution
Understanding of the port activity and organization of a container terminal
Knowledge of Law
Local (Moroccan) law = Advantageous
English Law (basis of project contracts) = Preferred
