Job description:

Review, analyze, and negotiate construction contracts, subcontracts, and change orders to ensure compliance with company policies and local laws. Monitor contract compliance throughout the project lifecycle and identify any potential issues or disputes. Prepare, review, and negotiate subcontract agreements with proper back-to-back clauses. Collaborate with legal team to resolve contractual disputes and issues as they arise. Ensure that all subcontractors meet their contractual obligations, including project milestones and deliverables. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure contracts are tailored to meet project requirements, milestones, and deliverables. Provide expert advice and guidance on contract-related matters to project teams, fostering a strong understanding of contractual obligations and compliance. Draft and issue contract related correspondences, notices and claims including EOT claims.

Risk Management:

Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks associated with construction contracts. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to protect the company's interests. Monitor insurance and guarantee requirements to ensure compliance.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate and organized contract documentation, including correspondence, change orders, and project records. Generate reports and updates on contract performance, cost control, and risk management for project stakeholders and management.

Qualification & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Proven track record of at least 5+ years in contracts management within the construction industry, preferably in the UAE/GCC. Experience in utility contracts / steel erection / facility management is an added advantage. Fair knowledge of

UAE construction laws, FIDIC contracts,

and international contract standards. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders. Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail to identify and mitigate potential risks in contracts. Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously, maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines. Fluent in English and good contractual letter drafting skills.
