Candidate Specification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management/Cost Engineering from a recognized university; membership to a relevant professional institution (for example MRICS) would be highly advantageous
  • Extensive post-graduate experience with experience in mega projects or programs.
  • Candidates should have experience being involved in project start-ups and closeout
  • Demonstrable experience in planning and monitoring project programs, costs, and resources ensuring delivery to time and budget
  • Continuously looking for innovations and improvements to manage workload and accomplish deliverables across individuals, teams, and projects
  • Using leadership skills to build and nurture relationships and also creating effective working environments
  • Able to manage multiple teams with diverse backgrounds on geographically and culturally diverse teams


About the Role:

We are hiring a Contracts Manager to manage and administer the contracts on a major infrastructure and residential project in UAE.
Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:
  • Assist the Project Principal in all contractual and commercial aspects
  • Initiate contractual correspondences and provide contractual replies.
  • Review and assess Claims in coordination with the other team members and finalize the response and/or prepare the necessary recommendation for any submitted Claim
  • Maintain claims logs, potential claims logs, early warning notices logs ..etc
  • Assist the Project Director in closing the project including final accounts.
  • Assist in negotiations with Contractors on behalf of the Employer if requested.
  • Attend / Chair Contractual and Commercial meetings. Attend any other meeting as deemed required.
  • Ensure our invoices are accurate and submitted in a timely manner
  • Ensure that payment applications of other entities are reviewed and certified in a timely manner.
  • Drafting of contract agreements including scope of service/work
  • Oversee contract administration including contractors
  • Develop, review, and update a change management system and procedures that capture complete, accurate, and consistent baseline documents, and ensure changes in design and construction and any other change are controlled in accordance with the contract documents and/or program controls procedures
  • Oversee the change process to ensure consistency across all existing contracts and projects for design details and other related items
  • Evaluate cost implications of changes to the contract, determined as necessary to implement
  • Supervise all aspects of the contract: monitoring contract compliance, terms, and conditions, supervising/reviewing the performance of service level agreements, managing receipt and documentation of change requests and coordinating the review process by appropriate program stakeholders, delivery of contract deliverables, payment procedures, and management reporting
  • Contribute to risk management process and review meetings
