We are looking for a

Contracts Engineer

who will be responsible for ensuring the efficient, cost-effective, and compliant execution of contracts across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities:

Review, analyze, and negotiate construction contracts, subcontracts, and change orders to ensure compliance with company policies and local laws. Monitor contract compliance throughout the project lifecycle and identify any potential issues or disputes. Prepare, review, and negotiate subcontract agreements with proper back-to-back clauses. Collaborate with legal team to resolve contractual disputes and issues as they arise. Ensure that all subcontractors meet their contractual obligations, including project milestones and deliverables. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure contracts are tailored to meet project requirements, milestones, and deliverables. Provide expert advice and guidance on contract-related matters to project teams, fostering a strong understanding of contractual obligations and compliance. Draft and issue contract related correspondences, notices and claims including EOT claims. Ensure contract compliance with minimal deviations, resolve disputes promptly and cost-effectively, and implement effective risk mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain organized records of all contract documentation, correspondence, change orders, and generate regular reports on contract performance and cost control.

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years' experience in contracts management within the construction industry, preferably in the UAE/GCC. Experience in utility contracts, steel erection, or facility management is an added advantage. Sound knowledge of UAE construction laws, FIDIC, and international contract standards. Analytical mindset with attention to detail and risk awareness. Ability to handle multiple contracts and meet tight deadlines. Proficiency in English with strong contract letter drafting skills.
