Svitzer is seeking an experienced Contract Managerr for its port operations in Qalhat, Oman. If you have a background in managing marine service operations and a proven track record in driving operational excellence and delivering customer-focused solutions through timely, reliable and safe service, we would love to hear from you.

What you can look forward to Focusing on operational excellence and continuity, the role is responsible for overseeing Marine Operations of the Svitzer fleet and Marine Standards duties in the port of Qalhat. With uptime, on hire and reliability as a guiding mantra, the role will be responsible for ensuring the standards and uptime of SvitzeraEUR(TM)s deployed assets by working with crews, shore side staff and external stakeholders, not least customers and relevant authorities to ensure a customer centric approach to business working in collaboration with Regional and Group functions to deliver the customersaEUR(TM) needs whilst ensuring a safety based approach to operations. What will you do Your key responsibilities will include:

Responsibility financial performance of the Contract including revenue, OPEX, capitalized maintenance & repair and overheads Costs

Plan, execute and evaluate business and operational strategies to maximize the value of SvitzeraEUR(TM)s business in the assigned geography and operations.

Lead and manage an engaged onshore and offshore organization, developing performing staff and supporting and initiating fair consequences for those who are not.

Continuously drive operational excellence and customer focused solutions in terms of timely, reliable and safe service.

Develop and maintain excellent relationships with customers and other stakeholders and authorities.

Promote an unrivalled security and safety environment in the Svitzer organization, making Safety and Security a competitive advantage for Svitzer ("Do it Safely or Not at AllaEUR).

Promote an industry-leading safety culture and ensure adherence to all safety procedures and policies.

Ensure adherence to all regional operational procedures and work practice

Ensure that all employees of the company you lead understand and adhere to Svitzer guidelines, authorities and policies.

Drive cost efficiency in all administrative, operational and technical expenditure.

Provide management oversight for Technical Supt and M&R spend and dockings (every 5 years).

Implement best practice standards for finance and operations, as communicated by Svitzer Group and/or AMEA Region.

Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements for the local operation, in co- operation with AMEA Region Legal Counsel and Regional Functional specialists.

In co-ordination with the Regional CFO, maintain an efficient financial organization to secure financial transparency, reporting and analysis.

Ensure that vessels are manned and equipped according to legal requirements and Svitzer standards for relevant operational activities.

Who we are looking for

A seasoned marine services Contract Managerwith a proven record of successful management of operations servicing the Terminal Towage industry.

MUST be in possession of a valid Master Mariner Class 1 CoC. Be an experienced Tug Master with specific experience on ASD tugs in the Harbour Towage environment is a plus.

A financially literate business leader with project implementation experience preferred

Tertiary qualifications in relevant business or marine management.

Strong business acumen and negotiation skills

Ability to influence and engage. An organizer

Nuanced and effective stakeholder management up to national Port authorities and Client's Senior to Executive management level.

Sound financial management knowledge and analytical skills, structured and data driven

Proven experience in Project Management

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the capability to deal with people at a broad range of levels.

High level of professionalism, honesty and integrity

Excellent organizational, time management and planning skills The ability to think conceptually while managing the detail

Strong understanding of change management and the ability to work effectively in a matrix structure

Minimum 10 years of experience in marine operations

Minimum 5 years of shore experience

Minimum 3 years of experience in a management role in marine operations
