Continuous Monitoring Auditor - Group Internal Audit - First Abu Dhabi Bank - Abu Dhabi, UAE
Position Overview
This Continuous Monitoring Auditor role supports the Group Internal Audit function by delivering data-driven assurance across critical risk domains including credit risk, AML/CFT, cybersecurity, and market operations. The position leverages analytics, automation, dashboards, and continuous testing to identify emerging risks, detect control failures early, and support real-time governance aligned with the bank's risk appetite. The role enhances proactive assurance, strengthens regulatory readiness, and enables dynamic risk management across the bank.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize CAATs and analytics technologies to enhance audit efficiency and coverage
• Design and maintain dashboards and automated alerts for monitoring key controls
• Analyze structured and unstructured data sources to detect control gaps
• Execute continuous monitoring strategies aligned with enterprise risk priorities
• Perform ongoing testing of key controls, KRIs, and transactional indicators using automated tools
• Monitor operational and transactional data to identify anomalies or early warning signals
• Support supervisors in preparing risk assessments for IB, WB, and Credit portfolios
• Assist in maintaining audit programs within the audit management system
• Execute tasks in line with GIA policies, procedures, and practice notes
• Promote knowledge sharing and support junior team members
• Promote organizational values and contribute to a value-driven audit culture
• Monitor financial performance of assigned areas against approved budgets
• Support continuous improvement of monitoring processes and automation frameworks
• Maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across business units
• Act as Audit Business Partner to line managers and identify emerging risks during meetings
• Provide governance, risk management, and control advisory support
• Follow up on outstanding audit issues and verify corrective actions
• Assist in investigations and special reviews assigned by audit leadership
• Prepare accurate and timely audit reports in line with Group requirements

Ideal Profile

• Experience in continuous auditing, data analytics, or technology-driven risk monitoring
• Knowledge of high-risk domains such as credit risk, AML/CFT, cybersecurity, or market operations
• Proficiency in CAATs, dashboards, data analysis tools, and automation frameworks
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret large datasets
• Understanding of banking systems, IT logs, incident data, and configuration controls
• Previous experience in internal audit, risk management, or compliance preferred
• Strong communication skills for interacting with technical and business teams
• Ability to mentor junior colleagues and support team development
• Strong documentation and reporting ability
