Job Title: Consultant in Transfusion Medicine

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert consultation and oversee the provision of transfusion medicine services in accordance with international best practices and guidelines
- Lead and actively participate in the development and implementation of transfusion medicine policies and protocols
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of transfusion medicine processes and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and patient safety
- Manage and monitor the distribution and utilization of blood and blood products
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes
- Provide education and training to healthcare staff on transfusion medicine practices
- Participate and contribute to quality improvement initiatives, research and development projects related to transfusion medicine
- Keep up to date with current trends and advancements in transfusion medicine and share knowledge and expertise with colleagues
Requirements:
- Medical Degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Transfusion Medicine
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in transfusion medicine as a Consultant
- Experience in an international or multicultural healthcare setting is preferred
- Proficient in English (Arabic language skills are an advantage)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Adaptable to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proactive and result-oriented approach to work
- Familiarity with international regulatory standards for transfusion medicine
