We are seeking an experienced consultant in pediatric palliative care to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi.
The ideal candidate will bring a compassionate, multidisciplinary approach to supporting children with life-limiting illnesses and contribute to the advancement of pediatric palliative services in the region.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive palliative care to pediatric patients, including pain and symptom management, psychosocial support, and end-of-life care.
Lead and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate individualized care plans.
Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, nurses, and allied health professionals.
Collaborate with other specialties (e.g., oncology, neurology, intensive care) to ensure continuity of care.
Provide consultations across inpatient, outpatient, and home care settings.
Support family-centered care through effective communication, counseling, and shared decision-making.
Participate in on-call duties as per the departmental rota.
Contribute to departmental audits, clinical governance, and quality improvement projects.
Assist in recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of team members.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with hospital policies.
Qualifications & Experience
Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
Completion of specialty training in pediatrics and subspecialty certification in palliative care.
Valid HAAD/DHA/MOH license or eligibility for licensure in the UAE.
Minimum 5-7 years of post-specialization experience in pediatric palliative care.
Proven leadership and team collaboration skills.
Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
