Allocation Assist Middle East is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Consultant in Pediatric Ophthalmology to join our prestigious client, a leading hospital in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of pediatric patients ophthalmic conditions, including vision, eye alignment, and visual development
- Provide timely and accurate diagnosis and treatment plans for a wide range of pediatric ophthalmic disorders, such as strabismus, amblyopia, and eye injuries
- Perform complex ophthalmic surgeries, including corrective surgeries for congenital and acquired eye conditions in children
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for pediatric patients, including input from orthoptists, optometrists, and other specialists
- Stay current with advancements in pediatric ophthalmology and implement evidence-based practices in day-to-day patient care
- Participate in staff training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge in pediatric ophthalmology
Qualifications:
- Medical degree from a recognized institution
- Board certification in pediatric ophthalmology from a reputable institution
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pediatric ophthalmology, with a focus on surgical procedures
- Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of pediatric ophthalmic conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team
- Must be Western-trained
- Passion for providing compassionate care to young patients and their families
