Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Ophthalmologist to join a leading eye care team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diagnosing and managing a full spectrum of pediatric eye conditions, with a strong commitment to child-centered care and surgical excellence.
? Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat pediatric eye disorders including strabismus, amblyopia, congenital cataracts, and refractive errors.
- Perform pediatric ophthalmic surgeries and laser procedures as needed.
- Conduct comprehensive eye exams tailored to infants, children, and adolescents.
- Collaborate with orthoptists, pediatricians, and other specialists for multidisciplinary care.
- Educate families on treatment plans and long-term visual development.
- Participate in clinical audits, CME activities, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Medical degree with specialization in Ophthalmology
- Fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology (preferred)
- Minimum 3-5 years post-specialization experience in pediatric eye care
- DHA eligibility or licensure preferred
- Arabic-speaking preferred, but open to strong profiles regardless of gender or language
- Skilled in pediatric surgical techniques and child-friendly communication
- Experience with pediatric visual screening programs and school outreach
- Strong teamwork and patient education skills
- Commitment to continuous learning and clinical excellence
