Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and board-certified consultant in pediatric infectious disease to join a leading healthcare institution in Dubai. The ideal candidate will provide expert care to infants, children, and adolescents with complex infectious diseases, while contributing to clinical excellence, infection control, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and manage pediatric infectious diseases including viral, bacterial, fungal, and parasitic infections
Interpret diagnostic tests such as cultures, PCR, serologies, and imaging studies
Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans for acute and chronic infections
Lead infection prevention and control initiatives within pediatric units
Collaborate with pediatricians, microbiologists, intensivists, and public health teams
Provide consultative services for immunocompromised and post-transplant patients
Educate families on disease prevention, vaccination schedules, and antimicrobial stewardship
Participate in clinical audits, CME activities, and infectious disease research
Qualifications & Experience
Medical degree from an accredited institution
Board certification in Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases (e.g., American Board, Royal College, or equivalent)
Minimum 5 years post-specialization experience in a tertiary or academic hospital setting
Eligible for DHA Consultant licensure (Dubai Health Authority)
Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
Excellent communication and family-centered care approach
Compensation & Benefits
Tax-free salary: AED 70,000-85,000/month (commensurate with experience)
