Key Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia care for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents undergoing both elective and emergency procedures.
  • Develop individualized anesthetic management plans based on surgical requirements and perioperative risk factors.
  • Monitor and manage patients throughout anesthesia administration and post-anesthesia recovery.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support junior anesthetists, residents, and fellows in pediatric anesthesia.
  • Participate in pediatric code blue teams and multidisciplinary critical care responses.
  • Contribute to departmental teaching programs, simulation-based training, and clinical quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to DHA regulations and hospital protocols.
  • Engage in continuing medical education, clinical research, and academic contributions.
Ideal Profile
  • Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with completed residency in Anesthesiology.
  • Fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology from a recognized institution.
  • Board-certified in Anesthesiology (American Board, UK CCT, Canadian FRCP, or equivalent).
  • At least 2-5 years of post-fellowship experience in pediatric anesthesia.
  • Eligible for Consultant classification under Dubai Health Authority requirements.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and crisis management skills.
  • Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
