Position:

Consultant Palliative Care - Abu Dhabi



Allocation Assist Middle East is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Palliative Care to join our client's team in Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality, compassionate and patient-centered end-of-life care to individuals in Abu Dhabi and surrounding areas.



As a Consultant in Palliative Care, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the care of patients with life-threatening and life-limiting illnesses. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, social workers, and chaplains, to develop and implement comprehensive palliative care plans that address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of each patient.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, psychological and spiritual needs to determine the appropriate palliative care plan Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, using evidence-based practices Provide expert consultation to other healthcare professionals on the management of complex cases and facilitate communication among team members Prioritize and manage a caseload of patients, while ensuring timely and effective communication with patients and their families Educate patients and families on palliative care options, treatment goals, and disease management strategies Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of palliative care services Actively participate in palliative care conferences and meetings to share knowledge and promote best practices Collaborate with community resources and hospice agencies to ensure continuity of care for patients transitioning to end-of-life care Keep accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in compliance with professional and departmental policies and procedures

Qualifications:

Medical degree from an accredited institution Board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine or equivalent Minimum of 3 years of experience in palliative care, preferably in a hospital or hospice setting Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and ability to collaborate effectively Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge and understanding of the cultural sensitivities and healthcare practices in Abu Dhabi Candidates must be having a Western education/training.
