Our client, a reputable hospital in Dubai, is currently looking for a passionate and dedicated Consultant in palliative care to join their team.
As a Consultant in palliative care, you will be responsible for delivering specialized medical care and treatment to patients with advanced or life-limiting illnesses. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive palliative care services and ensure patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing and managing patients' physical and psychological symptoms to provide relief from pain and discomfort
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
- Educating patients and their families about the palliative care process and providing emotional support
- Communicating with patient's primary physicians and other specialists to coordinate treatment and ensure the best possible outcomes
- Conducting regular assessments to evaluate patients' progress and make necessary changes to their care plans
- Participating in research and quality improvement activities to enhance palliative care services within the hospital
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in palliative care and incorporating evidence-based practices into daily work.
Requirements:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Palliative Care Medicine
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in providing palliative care in a hospital setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Must be Western-trained.
