Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and diagnostic tests to evaluate vision and detect eye conditions
• Perform surgical procedures including cataract removal, laser surgeries, and corneal transplants
• Prescribe and administer medications and non-surgical treatments for a range of ophthalmic disorders
• Provide clear patient education on eye health, care plans, and preventive measures
• Collaborate with optometrists and other specialists to ensure holistic patient care
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure timely documentation of all procedures and consultations
• Stay informed about emerging treatments, tools, and research in ophthalmology
• Mentor junior doctors and participate in ongoing clinical training and development
• Contribute to research and clinical studies in the field of ophthalmology

Job Requirements
Education

• Medical degree from a recognized institution
• Board certification in Ophthalmology

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience as a Consultant Ophthalmologist
• Proven expertise in surgical and medical management of eye conditions

Skills

• Strong clinical and surgical proficiency
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Attention to detail and a calm, professional demeanor under pressure
• Familiarity with the latest diagnostic tools and surgical equipment
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
