Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive neuro-interventional procedures including mechanical thrombectomy, aneurysm coiling, flow diversion, AVM and AVF embolization, tumor embolization, carotid and intracranial stenting, and spinal vascular interventions
  • Interpret advanced neuroimaging studies such as CT, MRI, CTA, MRA, and digital subtraction angiography
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations for complex neurovascular and stroke-related cases
  • Participate in 24-7 stroke and neuro-interventional on-call coverage
  • Collaborate with neurology, neurosurgery, emergency medicine, and critical care teams in multidisciplinary care pathways
  • Contribute to strategic growth and development of neuro-interventional services
  • Develop and update clinical protocols, stroke pathways, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Lead multidisciplinary neurovascular board discussions and case reviews
  • Mentor fellows, junior radiologists, and technologists within the department
  • Engage in research, teaching, and continuing medical education programs
Ideal Profile
  • Medical Degree from a recognized institution
  • Board Certification in Radiology such as American Board, Royal College, Arab Board, or equivalent
  • Fellowship training in Interventional Neuroradiology or Endovascular Neurosurgery
  • Minimum 8-10 years of post-specialization experience including consultant-level practice
  • Eligibility for Department of Health Abu Dhabi Consultant licensure
  • Proven expertise in advanced neuro-interventional and stroke procedures
  • Strong leadership and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
  • Fluency in English with Arabic considered advantageous
