Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of infectious diseases through comprehensive clinical assessment and laboratory interpretation
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Lead infection prevention and control initiatives to reduce hospital-acquired infections and outbreak risks
• Collaborate with infection control departments to implement evidence-based protocols and safety measures
• Participate in outbreak investigation, surveillance programs, and antimicrobial stewardship activities
• Provide education to patients, families, and community stakeholders on disease prevention strategies
• Develop and deliver staff training programs on infection prevention and control practices
• Engage in clinical research, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain compliance with SCFHS regulations and international infectious disease standards

Ideal Profile

• Medical Degree from an accredited institution
• Board Certification in Infectious Diseases with UK CCT, American Board, Canadian Board, or equivalent recognized qualification
• Minimum 5 years of consultant-level experience in infectious diseases
• Proven experience in infection prevention and outbreak management
• Strong leadership and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
• Excellent diagnostic, analytical, and clinical decision-making abilities
• Fluency in English with Arabic considered advantageous
