The post holder will be super-specialty trained in gynecological cancer and able to manage women with ovarian, endometrial, cervical, vaginal and vulwal cancer. The post holder will be trained in advanced cytoreductive and minimal access gynecological cancer surgery. The newly appointed consultant will be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues in medical oncology, radiation oncology, GI surgery, urology, plastic and reconstructive surgery and palliative care team and other departments as necessary for the management of patients with gynecological cancer and join multidisciplinary team meetings. The gynecological oncology consultant is also expected to attend to general gynecological problems of other cancer patients treated at this hospital. Apart from dedicated outpatient and operating theatre sessions the consultant will need to participate in all institutional and departmental academic programs along with making significant contributions in teaching super-specialty trainees in gynecological oncology and assisting them in their statutory research work. The candidate is expected to be dedicated to the progress of the department supporting other consultants in the team when necessary
