Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant General Surgeon specializing in Thyroid Surgery to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will provide expert surgical care for thyroid-related conditions, including cancer treatment, minimally invasive procedures, and endocrine surgery.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate and monitor patients with thyroid disorders, including performing physical exams, reviewing medical history, and ordering diagnostic tests. Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with thyroid conditions. Perform surgical procedures such as thyroidectomies, lobectomies, and lymph node dissection for thyroid cancer. Use advanced surgical techniques, including minimally invasive and endoscopic procedures, to minimize patient discomfort and promote faster recovery. Collaborate with endocrinologists, radiologists, and pathologists to provide a comprehensive approach to patient care. Stay updated on the latest advancements in thyroid surgery and best practices in the field. Train and mentor other healthcare professionals, including residents and medical students, on thyroid surgery procedures.

Requirements:

Medical degree from an accredited institution. Board certification in general surgery. Fellowship in Endocrine Surgery or equivalent subspecialty training in thyroid surgery. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a consultant general surgeon with a focus on thyroid surgery. License to practice as a consultant general surgeon in Abu Dhabi. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team.
