Position Overview
Allocation Assist Middle East is seeking an experienced Consultant General Surgeon specializing in Burns and Reconstructive Surgery for a renowned healthcare institution in Abu Dhabi. The role, managed through our Dubai operations, involves leading complex burn management, surgical reconstruction, and multidisciplinary rehabilitation efforts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in skin grafting, microsurgery, and advanced wound care within tertiary burn units.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform complex burn surgeries including skin grafting, debridement, wound closure, and reconstructive procedures.
• Utilize microsurgical and flap reconstruction techniques to restore function and aesthetics.
• Lead a multidisciplinary burn management team comprising plastic surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, physiotherapists, and critical care specialists.
• Oversee post-burn rehabilitation programs focusing on scar revision, mobility restoration, and psychological recovery.
• Implement and monitor infection control, pain management, and fluid resuscitation protocols in critical burn cases.
• Conduct clinical research, training, and departmental quality improvement initiatives.
• Educate junior doctors and surgical residents in modern burn management techniques and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with Department of Health (DOH) standards, hospital policies, and patient safety protocols.

Ideal Profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in General Surgery or Burns Surgery.
• Fellowship training in Burns and Reconstructive Surgery.
• Minimum 6 years of post-certification experience in tertiary-level burn care.
• Expertise in microsurgery, skin grafting, and complex wound management.
• Strong understanding of critical care, infection prevention, and reconstructive techniques.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
