Consultant General Surgeon - Allocation Assist Middle East - Dubai, UAE
Position Overview
Allocation Assist Middle East is recruiting an experienced and Arabic-speaking Consultant General Surgeon for a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary surgical team providing high-quality, evidence-based care to a diverse patient population. This role requires excellent surgical acumen, cultural understanding, and strong leadership in both elective and emergency surgical settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a broad spectrum of elective and emergency general surgical procedures with precision and adherence to best practices.
• Evaluate patients, establish diagnoses, and formulate individualized surgical treatment plans.
• Oversee preoperative and postoperative management in coordination with nursing and allied health teams.
• Participate in surgical audits, morbidity and mortality reviews, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and supervision to residents and junior surgical staff.
• Contribute to departmental clinical governance, CME programs, and teaching sessions.
• Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and compliant medical documentation as per DOH regulations.
• Foster effective collaboration within multidisciplinary and multicultural teams to ensure integrated patient care.

Ideal Profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Board certification in General Surgery (UK CCT, American Board, Arab Board, or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience, including consultant-level practice.
• Fluent in both Arabic and English for effective patient and team communication.
• Eligible for Consultant licensure with the Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi.
• Demonstrated excellence in patient-centered surgical care and clinical decision-making.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in women's health and related surgical procedures is advantageous.
