Allocation Assist Middle East is hiring an experienced Consultant General Surgeon specializing in Acute Care Surgery for a leading hospital in Jeddah. The position focuses on providing expert management of surgical emergencies and trauma cases while ensuring excellence in patient outcomes, clinical leadership, and professional education.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide surgical care for acute abdominal, trauma, and general surgical emergencies
• Perform emergency and elective procedures including laparotomies, hernia repairs, cholecystectomies, and bowel resections
• Lead the acute surgical response team and participate in trauma resuscitation and surgical interventions
• Collaborate with emergency, radiology, ICU, and anesthesia departments for multidisciplinary care
• Supervise, teach, and mentor surgical residents, fellows, and junior staff
• Participate in clinical audits, morbidity and mortality reviews, and CME programs
• Ensure full compliance with SCFHS standards and hospital safety protocols
• Contribute to departmental planning, scheduling, and quality improvement initiatives

Ideal Profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized university
• Board certification in General Surgery (Saudi Board, Arab Board, American, Canadian, or European equivalent)
• Fellowship or advanced training in Acute Care Surgery or Trauma Surgery preferred
• Minimum 5 years of post-board experience in acute and elective surgical procedures
• Proven proficiency in open and laparoscopic surgery
• Strong clinical leadership, crisis management, and communication skills
• Eligibility for Consultant classification with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS)
• Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage
