Position: Consultant Family Medicine
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Consultant Family Medicine to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated healthcare professional with outstanding interpersonal and clinical skills, who is passionate about providing comprehensive medical care to patients and their families.
As a Consultant Family Medicine, you will be responsible for the overall management of patients, from diagnosis and treatment to follow-up care. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver personalized care and promote holistic wellness to patients of all ages.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive and compassionate medical care to patients, from newborns to senior citizens
- Diagnose and treat various acute and chronic medical conditions, including but not limited to diabetes, hypertension, and respiratory illnesses
- Conduct physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and create treatment plans based on individual patient needs
- Collaborate with specialist physicians to coordinate patient care and provide referrals when necessary
- Educate patients and their families on healthy lifestyle choices, disease management, and preventive healthcare measures
- Facilitate follow-up appointments and ongoing care for patients with chronic illnesses or complex medical conditions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including electronic medical records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize clinical practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) or Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Family Medicine or equivalent from a recognized medical board
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical practice, preferably in a primary care setting
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based medical practices, current medical trends, and healthcare regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues
- Empathetic, patient-centered approach towards patients of diverse backgrounds and varying levels of health literacy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment
- Proficient in using electronic medical records and other relevant medical software and technology
