Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and compassionate Consultant Endocrinologist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will provide expert clinical care to patients with a wide range of endocrine conditions, from common disorders to rare and complex cases. Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties:

• Provide expert outpatient and inpatient consultation, diagnosis, and management for a full spectrum of endocrine diseases, including but not limited to:
• Diabetes Mellitus (Type 1, Type 2, and gestational)
• Thyroid disorders (e.g., hyper/hypothyroidism, thyroid nodules, cancer)
• Adrenal disorders (e.g., Addison's, Cushing's, pheochromocytoma)
• Pituitary disorders (e.g., adenomas, hypopituitarism)
• Bone and calcium metabolism disorders (e.g., osteoporosis, hyperparathyroidism)
• Reproductive endocrinology (e.g., PCOS, hypogonadism, infertility)
• Lipid disorders and obesity medicine.
• Perform and interpret specialized diagnostic procedures, such as:
• Dynamic endocrine testing (e.g., OGTT, CRH stimulation, dexamethasone suppression)
• Fine-needle aspiration (FNA) of the thyroid (if credentialed).
• Develop and implement comprehensive, evidence-based treatment plans for patients.
• Participate in and lead multidisciplinary team meetings with diabetes nurse educators, dietitians, podiatrists, and other specialists.
• Share on-call responsibilities with consultant colleagues for acute endocrine emergencies.

Leadership & Service Development:

• Play an active role in the development and improvement of clinical services and care pathways within the department.
• Contribute to clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
• Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior medical staff, including registrars, residents, and medical students.

Teaching & Research (if applicable):

• Participate in the teaching and training of medical students, junior doctors, and other healthcare professionals.
• Engage in and/or lead clinical research projects, with opportunities to present findings and publish in peer-reviewed journals.

Qualifications and Requirements
Essential:

• Medical Degree (MD or MBBS) from an accredited institution.
• Board Certification or equivalent in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.
• Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in [Country/State].
• Completion of accredited fellowship training in Endocrinology.
• Proven experience in managing a broad range of endocrine disorders.
• Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with patients and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.

Desirable:

• Sub-specialty interest or expertise in a specific area (e.g., thyroidology, neuroendocrinology, bone metabolism, reproductive endocrinology).
• Experience in performing and interpreting thyroid ultrasounds and FNAs.
• A proven track record in clinical research and publications.
• Experience in clinical trial management.
• Previous leadership or management experience in a healthcare setting.
