Job Description

The Construction Supervisor oversees daily operations at construction sites to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to required quality standards. This role involves coordinating teams, managing schedules, supervising subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate construction workers and subcontractors on-site. Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and deadlines. Enforce safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe job site. Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Schedule inspections and ensure all work complies with relevant codes and regulations. Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients. Track materials, tools, and equipment on-site; ensure efficient use of resources. Identify and resolve problems or conflicts that arise during construction. Maintain daily reports of work progress, incidents, and resource usage. Provide leadership and support to construction teams to enhance productivity and morale.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a construction supervisor or similar role. In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and safety guidelines. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents. Strong leadership and communication skills. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with construction management software is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification or degree preferred (e.g., construction management, civil engineering).

Work Environment:

On-site work in varying weather conditions. May involve lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods. Occasional travel between job sites if managing multiple projects.
