Construction Quality Engineer Piping

Job Description
Summary
This position supports Construction quality at Enerflex sites and reports directly to the Construction Quality Lead. The role plans, coordinates and directs site QA/QC processes. Success in this role measured by the understanding and adherence to Quality requirements enabling a continuous production of products consistent with the Quality policy, Quality system and established industry standards. The role is also responsible for identifying and driving standardization of processes and other productivity improvements that would positively influence function at the site.
Principle Responsibilities and Duties
\xef\x82\xa7 Preparation of WPS, Welding procedure qualification and welder qualification tests
\xef\x82\xa7 Monitor in-process pipe erection, transfer of heat numbers. Monitor pipe and welding Traceability
\xef\x82\xa7 Witness Hydro tests and piping reinstatements, pipe cleanliness and preservations done properly to avoid any contamination
\xef\x82\xa7 Preparation of painting and coating procedures, monitor holiday testing and coating Repairs
\xef\x82\xa7 Monitor project weld and welder repair rates
\xef\x82\xa7 Interpret and evaluate NDT results.
\xef\x82\xa7 Field inspection of installation & alignment of Rotating Equipment (like Pumps, compressor, Air fin coolers, etc.,) with respect to the related standard, specifications, and ITP & vendor manuals.

Qualifications
\xef\x82\xa7 Bachelor degree or Diploma in Engineering
\xef\x82\xa7 CSWIP 3.1 /AWS \xe2\x80\x93CWI certified Welding Inspector
\xef\x82\xa7 BGAS /NACE Painting inspector \xef\x82\xa7 Shall have minimum 8 years of experience in quality management in Oil and Gas projects, including 3 years in construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning phases.
\xef\x82\xa7 Minimum 5-year\xe2\x80\x99s prior experience in welding fabrication and NDT methods.
\xef\x82\xa7 Minimum 3-year\xe2\x80\x99s prior experience in auditing basics and basic understanding of root cause analysis process and techniques.
\xef\x82\xa7 Good understanding of other recognized standards and codes such as-ASME, ANSI, ASNT, API, ASTM, NACE, ISO, DIN and AWS.
\xef\x82\xa7 Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, Isometric drawings, General arrangement drawings.
\xef\x82\xa7 Good communication skills to liaise with quality and cross-functional counterparts to address quality related matters.
\xef\x82\xa7 Ability to coordinate with customers and third party inspectors.
