Job SummaryPurpose and Scope:The Construction Manager provides on-site administrative, technical management, and leadership for the design and contract compliance, and construction of large multi-million dollar Government funded construction project at a specified project site. Essential Responsibilities:1.Responsible for work procedures, scheduling, cost control, project specification conformity, establishment of manpower levels, monitoring and implementation of safety programs, project conformance to national, local and/or company building codes and the maintenance of accurate records.2.Implements the construction portion of the assigned project through day-to-day direction of all field activities and is responsible for all job site activities3.Ensures timely and efficient execution of fieldwork.4.Acts as the primary customer contact for all construction project field activities.5.Ensures all construction is in compliance with design specifications, is completed on schedule, adheres to budget, meets accounting requirements and is built to quality standards.6.Functions as a Project Manager on a direct-hire construction-only project or as the field manager on an engineering/ procurement/construction management project.7.Under minimal supervision, manages small to medium size projects or a major geographic area on a mega project.8.Shall manage, monitor, and inspect, document and advise on projects as required. 9.Must be able to read, interpret, and decipher all construction documents (schedules, specifications, blueprints, schematics, diagrams, etc.), participate in design reviews, and ensure that all construction is performed in accordance with the construction documents. 10.Establishes field objectives and procedures within company guidelines as necessitated by conditions at the job site.11.Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:Education: Construction Manager shall have at least three (3) years of experience coupled with a two (2)-year degree from an accredited college or university in any engineering, construction technology, or construction management discipline.
