Construction Engineer (electrical & Instrumentation)

Job Description

Job Purpose:



To manage and supervise Electrical & Instrumentation construction activities at site, ensuring work is executed safely, in compliance with project specifications, codes, and schedule requirements.



Key Responsibilities:


Supervise E&I construction activities including installation, testing, and commissioning support. Ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, IEC/IEEE standards, and company procedures. Coordinate daily site activities with construction contractors, QA/QC, HSE, and commissioning teams. Review and execute work as per approved method statements, ITPs, and work permits. Monitor progress, identify constraints, and support recovery plans to meet project schedules. Interface with engineering teams to resolve site technical queries and field changes. Ensure proper installation of cable trays, cabling, junction boxes, panels, instruments, and control systems. Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities. Ensure adherence to HSE requirements and promote safe work practices on site. Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and punch list closure.
Requirements:


Bachelor's degree in electrical or Instrumentation Engineering. Minimum 10 years of Oil & Gas construction experience, preferably on EPC/EPCM projects. Strong knowledge of E&I construction, testing, and commissioning. Experience in brownfield and greenfield projects. Familiar with international standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, ATEX). Good communication and coordination skills.
