An opportunity has arisen for a Concierge Manager to join our Concierge department in the Jumeirah Group. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
  • Organise and supervise the day-to-day operations of the Concierge to ensure that all work; is carried out in an efficient manner that is consistent with operating policies and procedures and delivers service excellence and provide on-the-job training and constructive feedback to subordinates to support their overall development.
  • Conduct regular meetings with the Concierge team to keep colleagues informed of policies and procedure, special events, further improvement plans and guest comments to ensure that colleagues are aware of the relevance and importance of their activities and how they contribute to the department objectives.
  • Act as a lobby ambassador and regularly check the general cleanliness of the lobby and entrance area and assess the functionality of all concierge equipment.
  • Ensure that all guests are given a friendly, courteous, informative, and efficient service upon their arrival to support the achievement of maximum guest satisfaction.
  • Organizes the safe storage of luggage carrying out spot-checks of the storeroom making sure it is always kept clean and tidy.
  • Ensure that guest messages, requests and newspapers are delivered to guest rooms in a timely manner and that deliveries are recorded correctly.
  • Oversee the hotel’s contracted Valet Parking service, ensuring that an optimum service is always provided.
  • Prepare work schedules for Concierge colleagues to ensure optimum coverage within the department at all times.
  • Ensure that all information in Opera, Telephone Book on Restaurants, Airlines, Maps, shopping malls and hotel facilities are always kept up to date to be always well informed about any information that might be useful to guests.
  • Handle and addresses guest's complaints and requests and takes action to ensure the delivery of consistent quality customer experiences and satisfaction.

About you:
  • Experience in the same position within the luxury segment. Le Clefs D’or is a must.
  • 2 years’ experience in a 5-star Hotel
  • Strong organization, communication, and verbal skills.
  • Skills in building relations with guests, vendors, and internal department.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills –
  • Excellent leadership, management, and team building skills
  • Knowledge of front office application.
  • Outgoing personality with ability to communicate fluently with guests and colleagues.
  • Must possess high levels of integrity, intelligence, maturity in outlook and authenticity
  • Strong Communication Skills, able to communicate with VVIP guests, Diplomats and Royalties
  • Be able to talk and converse with guests with intelligence and ease
  • Passion and ability to stimulate ideas and execute them to materialization in best interest of the hotel, guests, and colleagues
  • Must be full of enthusiasm
