At DERC we are looking for a Computational Electromagnetic Engineer to integrate the Electromagnetic Effects division. Responsibilities
Work with a people leader who is concerned about executing the project of EM simulations measurement, and systems performance analysis
Actively contribute to the development and creation of new high-performance electromagnetic simulation and optimization algorithms, aiding in the reduction of the Radar Cross-Section of dielectric and large targets
Play an integral role in the strategic planning of new algorithms and advancing simulation and optimization capabilities for prospective products and technologies
Collaborates with both internal teams and customers
Prepare technical report
Ensure documentation of technical data generated for the assigned tasks
Share engineering information and promote open dialogue
Participate in multidisciplinary discussions within the activity domain of DERC
Other duties related to the position
Requirements
Background experience with electro-magnetic theory and wave propagation
Experience with asymptotic techniques and with an emphasis on modeling and simulations.
Experience with local and global optimization algorithm development
Previous experience working with developing software in MATLAB or Python
Knowledge of software engineering best practices, e.g., coding standards
Experience with one of the following tools (or equivalent) is a plus: Ansys HFSS SBR+, CST
Background in antenna or Radar Cross Section (RCS) test facilities is a plus
Qualifications
Engineer\xe2\x80\x99s or master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Electric Engineering, or related fields and three (3) years of relevant full-time experience
Minimum 2 years of experience with programming languages, e.g., MATLAB and Python
Good organization skills and ability to multitask
Communication skills for working in a multidisciplinary team
