Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced

Compressor Mechanic

to handle the

repair, maintenance, overhaul, and troubleshooting

of various types of

air compressors and refrigeration compressors

, including those used in HVAC and industrial systems. The ideal candidate should have strong mechanical aptitude, a deep understanding of compressor systems, and experience working in MEP or HVAC environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect, repair, and maintain various types of

compressors

including

reciprocating, rotary screw, scroll, and centrifugal compressors

used in HVAC and industrial applications. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults related to compressor operation. Perform

compressor overhauling

, including dismantling, replacing worn parts (bearings, seals, valves), and reassembling. Test and adjust compressor performance, pressure, and refrigerant levels. Conduct preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing of compressors. Work on compressor components such as motors, couplings, pistons, crankshafts, valves, and lubrication systems. Ensure compressors are operating efficiently and safely in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety regulations. Maintain detailed service records and report findings to supervisors or maintenance management. Coordinate with HVAC and MEP teams for compressor installations, upgrades, and replacements. Comply with all relevant safety practices and procedures, including proper handling of refrigerants and use of PPE.

Qualifications & Experience:

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, or related technical trade. Minimum 2--3

years

of hands-on experience in

compressor maintenance and repair

, preferably in MEP/HVAC or industrial settings. In-depth knowledge of

compressor systems

, mechanical components, and refrigerants..

Skills & Competencies:

Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, and schematics. Proficient in using diagnostic tools, measuring instruments, and hand/power tools. Attention to detail and commitment to quality work. Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a team.
