Position Overview
This position is responsible for supporting the business in Compliance function and in drafting treaties/amendment and agreements.
Responsibilities

  • Assists in ensuing that compliance issues properly adhered to in conjunction with the requirements of the business.
  • Assists in the embedding of the local enterprise risk management framework, including maintenance of the Risk Register.
  • Assists in tracking of progress of all required actions following internal and external audits.
  • Contributes to the provision of advice, guidance, and support to the business on all risk matters (including regulatory compliance)
  • Distributes and implements the applicable requirements in the Compliance and AML Manuals including keeping up to date with new Compliance & AML developments; generates guidance for the business on compliance with requirements, develops, and implements new policies and procedures.
  • Plans, prepares and carries out risk and compliance monitoring reviews of the business unit on behalf of CRO and Compliance Officer.
  • Writes and maintain risk and compliance documentation, monitoring papers, findings, and evidence.
  • Deals with compliance queries on all aspects of business operations issues and identifies appropriate solutions and processes that meet regulatory requirements.
  • Manages and contributes to the compilation of all necessary reports and management information to meet changing requirements.
  • Drafting treaties/amendments/addenda and any other related contract documents (e.g. letter of intent, confidentiality agreement, service agreement etc.), using best practices standard treaty template, that accurately reflects the underlying quote and are in line with appropriate treaty process and guidelines;
  • Review client prepared documents and propose necessary recommendations for change, resolve and/or escalate differences and inconsistencies in comparison to RGA\xe2\x80\x99s best practice wordings ensuring all issues are appropriately addressed.
  • Obtains comments and necessary approvals internally/externally.
  • Responds to treaty related inquiries internally/externally.
  • Administer treaty templates and clauses once completed and approved as required and meet the needs of the business unit and comply with Divisional standards, local regulations and business practices.
  • Completes Signature Request Form (SRF) for treaty documents and obtains authorized signatures for the treaty finalization.
  • Sends treaty documents to clients for signature and follow up.
  • Monitors status of outstanding documentation to ensure service standards are met and report/escalate to management as require
  • Updates TIMS (Treaty Information Management System) throughout the process and ensures final TIMS entry is completed and accurate.
  • Assists in preparation for, negotiation on and resolving disputes/lawsuits.
  • Maintains contact and builds relationships with outside legal and treaty resources.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Hands on Compliance & Risk Management experience in either Life & Health Insurance/Reinsurance or TPAs.
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree preferably with a Major in Law.
  • Minimum 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 working experience; knowledge of the life insurance/reinsurance, TPA industry will be preferred.
  • Ability of technical writing and editing.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English, in particular a persuasion skill to resolve issues/problems is an advantage.
  • Organized and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented, efficient, ability to multitask and work independently.
  • Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills.
  • Very discrete in handling confidential information.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes.
  • Good command of computer skills such as MS Word and Excel.
