Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that the company's operations, policies, and procedures comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal standards. The role requires hands-on experience in AML/KYC processes, customer due diligence, and risk mitigation within a regulated financial or business services environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures in accordance with UAE laws and international standards. Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), and Initial Due Diligence (IDD) for new and existing clients. Perform AML/KYC checks to ensure accurate customer identification and risk classification.

Monitor and report suspicious transactions in line with Central Bank of the UAE and AML/CFT regulations.

Perform ongoing Risk Assessment and Sanctions Screening (OFAC, UN, EU, UAE) to mitigate regulatory and reputational risks.

Maintain communication with regulators and auditors and ensure timely submission of reports and disclosures. Provide compliance training and guidance to internal departments. Ensure effective implementation of internal controls to maintain regulatory compliance. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant UAE laws, ADGM/DED/CBUAE regulations, and FATF standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance, audit, or risk management within financial institutions, consultancies, or regulated entities. ACAMS certification is preferred. Strong knowledge of UAE AML regulations, FATF guidelines, and ADGM/CBUAE frameworks. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus). Ability to work independently with high attention to detail and integrity.
