The Role
We are looking for an experienced Compliance Manager/MLRO Officer to head up our Compliance Department and ensure our company adheres to relevant regulations, legal standards and in-house policies. You will be responsible for enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of business as well as provide guidance on compliance matters. You should be well-versed in legal guidelines and corporate governance best practices, with high ethical standards and work diligently to complete duties, keeping in mind the objectives of the business. Responsibilities \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop and maintain control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal and regulatory guidelines and internal policies \xe2\x80\xa2 Evaluate the efficiency of controls and internal policies and improve them continuously \xe2\x80\xa2 Manage KYC on boarding for new and pre-exiting customer (KYC Refresh) by reviewing client documentation, vendor databases, and data entered into proprietary (CDD & monitoring of customers) \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct internal audits and reviews at regular intervals to ensure that compliance procedures are regularly followed \xe2\x80\xa2 Train the employees on the laws and regulations, so there is no ambiguity in the compliance and risk for the jobs that they perform \xe2\x80\xa2 Revise procedures, reports etc. periodically as required \xe2\x80\xa2 Modify and implement company policies \xe2\x80\xa2 Assess the business\xe2\x80\x99s future ventures to identify possible compliance risks \xe2\x80\xa2 Review the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training \xe2\x80\xa2 Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control \xe2\x80\xa2 Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate

Requirements
Requirements and skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Proven experience as compliance manager/MLRO Officer (min 5 years) \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong analytical and problem solving skills \xe2\x80\xa2 In-depth knowledge of the UK industry\xe2\x80\x99s standards and regulations \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping \xe2\x80\xa2 A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality \xe2\x80\xa2 Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities \xe2\x80\xa2 An analytical mind able to \xe2\x80\x9csee\xe2\x80\x9d the complexities of procedures and regulations \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent communication skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Certified compliance professional \xe2\x80\xa2 Previous banking experience is a plus
