With an increased focus on legal and regulatory compliance globally, you will join a team of dedicated and respected compliance professionals, who together ensure that our activities always remain compliant. Your overall responsibility will be to cover and proactively ensure that our activities in the Middle East and Africa remain in legal and regulatory compliance both now and in the future. Furthermore, you will also fully support our operations in the Americas, Europe and Asia in close cooperation with the respective regional Compliance Analysts. It is therefore imperative that you are flexible and understand the importance of teamwork. Areas of focus
  • Support and advise the trading floors to ensure day-to-day compliance
  • Analyse and actively react to regulatory developments, legislation and market trends and provide recommendations to the team/organisation
  • Ensure a high standard of due diligence in our vetting and screening processes
  • Respond to compliance queries and provide pragmatic solutions
  • Draft, advise, update and improve Monjasa\xe2\x80\x99s compliance framework (including processes and systems)
  • Prepare and conduct compliance trainings and compliance risk assessments
  • Responding to our financial partners on inquiries/invoices
Your professional skills
  • Relevant education, e.g., within legal or compliance
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, particularly (but not limited to) know-your-counterparty/due diligence, anti-bribery and anti-corruption, and global sanctions
  • Experience in the maritime or oil and gas sectors is a significant advantage.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office
  • Fluent in both written and verbal English
