THE ROLE

The Communications Strategy & Planning Senior Communication is a short-term position that will support one of our biggest clients within their Communications Strategy & Planning team in developing and implementing the communications strategy; support dedicated surveys, research and insights; and lead on planning projects as well as deliver effectively project management in Communications Department. \

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support with the implementation of the 2024 Group Communications strategy including ongoing monitoring of it\'s delivery; prepare the 2025 Communications strategy.
• Identify and establish opportunities for enhanced cross-functional / cross-vertical cooperation to maximize efficiencies and cross-collaboration (e.g SWAT team compositions and definitions)
• Working with the Communications Research & Insights Manager, support, where required, on dedicated surveys, data and insights projects.
• Working with the Communications Planning Manager, support on the review and development of Communications policies, standards, and processes.

• Active soliciting of Center of Excellence\'s input and content and design of Group CEO-ready strategy decks.
• Support on producing Executive reports and reporting to Management - Group Communications Leadership Team and wider management.
• Support Ad-Hoc Chief Communications Officers requests.
• Support the development of the 2025 communications strategy and plan, ensuring alignment with the organization\'s vision, mission, values, and strategic objectives.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• A master\'s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least ten years of experience in Communications, preferably in the energy sector, with a diversity of roles held.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing Communications strategies and plans and able to take the initiative and own projects.
• Previous Managerial experience
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills (native speaker level / full business proficiency), with strong attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• High level of creativity, innovation, and initiative, with the ability to generate and implement new ideas and solutions.
• Sound judgment, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address communications risks and issues.
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to support the entire Communications Strategy & Planning team and be a collaborative team member.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Asana, and other relevant software and tools.
