JOB PURPOSE:
Telecommunications Technicians install, maintain and repair telecommunications equipment and appliances, such as telephones, mobile telephones, switchboards and data transmission equipment, in homes, businesses, telephone exchanges and other network sites.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

- Diploma degree in communication/ computer/electronic engineering or any other related field.
- 5-10 years of communications experience.
- Excellent knowledge of telephony cable types. Must be familiar with twisted pair, fiber, and coax installation methods and color coding conventions.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft word.
- Knowledge of the theories and techniques involved in the implementation and maintenance of telecommunications networks and telecommunications equipment operation and use.
- Excellent knowledge of electronic components.
- The ability to use and operate a basic cable tester, and other tools and equipment used in the installation, maintenance, and operation of telecommunications systems is required.
- Good computer and network skills and knowledge.
- The ability to read and understand technical manuals, schematic diagrams, and related documentation.
- Excellent knowledge to repair electronic boards.
- Good command of English and Arabic (written and verbal).
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to listen carefully and follow instructions and make recommendations.
- The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- CV must be in English.
- Must be fluent in English
Your primary role will be to resolve telephony and telecommunications problems.
Maintain very good communication with your team. Sharing information is key.
This role is a team role. You must always assist your team if needed and respond to requests promptly.
Report all defects and follow up till done.
