Commissioning Manager
Job Description
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Commissioning Manager (Mechanical) to lead and oversee mechanical commissioning activities for a major EPC Oil & Gas project in Oman. The role involves managing the mechanical commissioning scope, ensuring all systems and equipment are commissioned safely, on schedule, and in compliance with project specifications and international standards. Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and execute mechanical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
Lead system walk-downs, punch list management, and mechanical completion processes.
Oversee testing, flushing, pressure testing, and functional checks of piping and equipment.
Interface with construction, QA/QC, HSE, vendors, and client representatives to ensure readiness and smooth handover.
Ensure all documentation, reports, and commissioning records are maintained and submitted.
Lead and mentor the mechanical commissioning team and subcontractors on-site. Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 18 years of experience in mechanical commissioning within Oil & Gas EPC projects.
In-depth knowledge of rotating and static equipment, piping systems, and utilities.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Immediate availability preferred. Please note initially it's a 3 months role with possible extension.
