This is a full-time on-site role at our restaurant located in Sharjah.
The Commis Chef will be responsible for following responsibilities:
Monitors kitchen equipment and reports issues to Superiors.
Continually develops culinary knowledge to produce high quality meals
Measures, mixes and prepares meal ingredients, sauces and seasonings.
Washes, chops, and cuts fruit, meat, and vegetable items
Assesses inventory and requests resupply when necessary
Plates meal items under the chef de partie's supervision
Disposes of spoiled items and adheres to sanitation policies
Qualifications
Previous experience working as a Commis Chef or in a similar role
Solid background of pizza, Italian, burgers and breakfast
Residing in Sharjah or Ready to relocate to Sharjah
Understanding of proper cooking temperatures and techniques to ensure food safety and quality
Excellent knife skills and familiarity with a range of kitchen tools and equipment
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes accurately
Team player mindset and the ability to work effectively with others
Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions
High school diploma or equivalent. Culinary education/training is a plus
