As a Commis II, you are responsible for daily food preparation and ensuring all assigned duties are completed to meet established quality and standards. Your main responsibilities include:
Supporting the Demi Chef de Partie or Commis I in daily kitchen operations
Preparing dishes according to the menu guidelines set by the Chef de Partie
Keeping your workspace clean and sanitary at all times, following hotel policies
Monitoring food inventory and managing costs within your assigned area
Setting up mise-en-place and assisting in food production across different sections of the main or satellite kitchens
Following directions from supervisors to complete tasks efficiently
Maintaining high standards of food quality and staying informed about new products, recipes, and cooking techniques
Working closely with other kitchen teams to meet operational needs, maintain cleanliness, reduce waste, and control expenses.
