Job Description

PRODUCE THE HIGHEST POSSIBLE FOOD QUALITY WITHIN GUIDELINES

\xc2\xb7 Prepares and properly garnishes food orders as they are received in accordance with recipes and proper plate presentation

\xc2\xb7 Prepares sauces, soups and hot entrees

\xc2\xb7 Sets up for lunch and dinner according to Chef de Partie\xe2\x80\x99s instruction

\xc2\xb7 Always adheres to Radisson Blu standards of preparation, recipes, and presentation

\xc2\xb7 Sets up \xe2\x80\x9cmis-en-place\xe2\x80\x9d for own station

\xc2\xb7 Uses Chef de Partie as a resource to ensure seasoning, portions, and appearance of food

\xc2\xb7 Stores unused food properly, and informs Chef de Partie of larger quantities of stored food

\xc2\xb7 Ensures that food from own station is delivered on time; asks for help if needed

\xc2\xb7 Follows proper safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices

\xc2\xb7 Ensures readiness at all times

\xc2\xb7 Refers to station\xe2\x80\x99s file regarding preparation, cooking and presentation specifications of all dishes produced int he section

\xc2\xb7 Confers closely with the Chef de Partie and takes every opportunity to become familiar with all aspects of his or her position

HEALTHAND SAFETY

\xc2\xb7 Adheres to all health, sanitation and food safety rules and regulations

\xc2\xb7 Reports all potential and real hazards immediately

\xc2\xb7 Fully understands the hotel\xe2\x80\x99s fire, emergency, and bomb procedures

\xc2\xb7 Works in a safe manner that does not harm or injure self or others

\xc2\xb7 Keeps the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, appropriate uniform, appearance, and conduct

MISCELLANEOUS

\xc2\xb7 Attends meetings and training required by the Sous Chef

\xc2\xb7 Accepts flexible work schedule necessary for uninterrupted service to the food production function

\xc2\xb7 Maintains own working area, materials and company property clean, tidy and in good shape

\xc2\xb7 Helps Steward when needed for the effective running of the restaurant

\xc2\xb7 Continuously seeks to endeavor the knowledge of own job function

\xc2\xb7 Is well updated on, and possesses solid knowledge of the following:

- Hotel fire and emergency procedures

- Restaurant corporate marketing and promotional programs
